What Do I Want to Impart to the Next Generation?

Do. Not. Settle.

For the easy. For the comfortable. For the instant gratification. For what only you can do. For what others want. For what you think is best.

I want to tell them right out of the gate to spend and be spent for Christ. Burn your life through the fires of time, purpose, and meaning and only one thing is left.

By a long shot it is Christ.

The comparison is so vast that even the next best thing to Christ is so far removed that it makes the best human love look like hate and the best human gain seem like less than nothing.

Children, if you can grasp this from your youth what joy and purpose is yours in Christ! Wow! What an amazingly full life you will live.

Don't waste your life. Don't waste a second.

Run hard after the things of God and know how sweet your rest will be when you pass the finish line. How beautiful the words "well done my good and faithful servant."

And how eternal your joy by the grace and love through the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
