Wuve, twue wove

Everybody wants it. There are so many love stories and movies and songs and just so much. Why? We are all searching for deep true love. The truest and deepest love can only be found in God. God so love the world that He gave His only son (John 3.16). You really can't beat that. But God loves us so much that He gave us more than just that, He gave us our friends and family and other things to give us love, and to love back, so that we might perhaps grasp a shadow of the love He feels for us.
My Anthropology teacher has a theory that there is no such thing as romantic love. Which is really sad and I feel bad for his wife... maybe there's a reason that she is his second one.... Anywho, he says that everybody spends their life making sort of a sub-conscious checklist in their heads. They walk around meeting people until they meet some one who has the same or similar checklist. And then they get married, simply to procreate so that their offspring will have a the kind of checklist that it's parents want. Which suggest that there's no real love at all, because what if the child for some reason doesn't develope the same checklist? What then?
I happen to disagree with him 100%. It's such a depressing life if there isn't love! If there was no love there would be no heartache, no missing anybody, no divorces, nobody cheating on anybody else. But there would also be no noticing the quirks in people and loving them for that or sticking with people through hard times. There is love, and we need love.
The best example of this is God, once again, because He is love. But if you think about it, think about God's checklist. All the things He is, and all of the things that people that He loves should be. Not even the best person in the world fits that checklist, but God loves us the same. Amazing isn't it!!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away
1st Corinthians 13:4-8.
